The festival will be held at the Grand Park and is open to vampires and goblins of all ages.
AVCA is also taking this opportunity to help the needy in the community through a Canned Food Drive. Attendees who donate more than five canned food items will receive a wristband their children can exchange for a pony ride. Last but not least, there will be a children’s costume parade and community booths, so be sure to bring your trick-or-treat bag.

Adventure City is holding its Boo-tastic Halloween Party this year for five nights. If you are looking to satisfy your love for scarecrows, good food, family-friendly games, and Halloween-themed activities, Scarecrow Festival in Costa Mesa is where you should head to. Held on Saturday, October 15th between 2 – 6 P.M, this festival will feature a Kids’ Costume Contest, Face Painting, Pumpkin Decoration, Live Music, Food Trucks, & more.
Additionally, there will be several trick-or-treat stations to keep the kids busy while parents socialize with other adults at the venue. If you decide to participate in the Scarecrow Contest, remember that your submissions must be free-standing and should not be larger than 4’x4’.

Spooky Seas at the Ocean Institute
Are you a sea-lover looking for a night full of fun and thrills? The Ocean Institute is holding its annual Halloween Event, ‘Spooky Seas’, on October 18 and 19 between 6 – 9 P.M., where guests can go aboard the Brig Pilgrim with ghost sailors and enjoy. If and when you want to excuse yourself from ghostly gatherings, you can make your way to the Ocean Education Center to enjoy hot cocoa, apple cider, and many educational activities centered around the historic boathouse.
This event is suitable for all age groups, however, minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The tour starts every fifteen minutes, so there will be plenty of slots available between 6 P.M and 8:45 P.M. If you are only going for the activities and don’t want to do the haunted tour, for $5 a person, you can get an Activities Only Pass.
