It would not be a holiday without a parade, would it? One of the most spectacular events in Orange County on Veterans Day is the Anaheim Veterans Day Parade. It is where veterans are honored in a special celebration hosted by the City of Anaheim, held downtown at the City’s Veterans Monument for the public to attend and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have sacrificed for our country. It is an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate and spend the holiday while honoring our local veterans and active duty service members.

#2 Official Military Skate’s Veterans Day
Do you love skateboarding? If the answer is yes, you must check out the Official Military Skate’s Veterans Day event for the community to get together with members of the United States Armed Forces for some skateboarding fun at OC Ramps. It is a unique and fun way to enjoy the holiday and get to know active duty service members, with food, prizes, and even opportunities to meet professional skateboarders.
This event is free for active duty members and veterans, so be sure to invite any family or friends who are eligible and share your passion for skateboarding!

#3 Veterans Day Ceremony at Brea War Memorial
From 10:00 a.m. on November 11th, the Brea community will be hosting the Brea War Memorial to pay tribute to all military heroes, veterans, and active duty military members who have dedicated and sacrificed their lives for our country. Held at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center, this event is a somber reminder of the ultimate sacrifice many people from the Brea community have given fighting for our nation over the years.

#4 Veterans Honor Walk at Buena Park
The Buena Park is hosting the Veterans Honor Walk on November 9th from 5:00 p.m. for their local veterans to honor and celebrate their patriotism. If you have any family or friends currently serving in the military or are retired veterans, invite them to join in for this event. The first 100 people who register will receive dinner, with priority given to veterans and their families. The walk will begin at the Ehlers Event Center at 8150 Knott Ave. Buena Park.

#5 Veterans Day Community Celebration at Costa Mesa
On November 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Heroes Hall Museum invites the community to celebrate local veterans for a free event in partnership with the Heroes Hall Veterans Foundation. The event will feature a traditional military ceremony with performances from the United States Marine Corps veteran Elliot McKenzie and the All-American Boys Chorus. In addition, there will be an exhibit that features new stories and artifacts from the Santa Ana Army Air Base and guest airmen who graduated from the air base. It is a family-friendly event, with activities for kids like dog-tag decorating, water coloring, and more.

#6 Dana Point Veterans Memorial
The City of Dana Point will be holding the Dana Point Veterans Memorial from 10:00 a.m. on November 11th for its community of veterans and war heroes. Located at 43201 Selva Road, just off the Pacific Coast Highway, it includes an unveiling of the updated memorial plaques that list the names of all the veterans who have died during the past year who were residents of Dana Point. If you are a resident of Dana Point, this is one way to give back to your community and remember your neighbors who have sacrificed their lives for their country.
#7 Veterans Day Ceremony And Car Show
Do you love cars? If the answer is yes, then you are in for a treat. The annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Car Show in Huntington Beach is an opportunity to remember and honor the sacrifices of Americans who gave their time and lives in war. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington Beach Hall, the event will feature hundreds of classic, collector, and custom cars and motorcycles across the beach parking lot.
The event will also have plenty of street vendors offering great food, music, and much more. Since this is a free event (there is a fee to register and show a car), don’t hesitate to invite your family and friends who share a passion for classic cars.
